"Open Cry" Auction Rules (rev 6/16/2008) General Instructions: " Register prior to the auction and receive your bidding paddle number. " If you are not present and wish to bid, submit a valid credit card number and the maximum you are willing to pay for the item(s) you are bidding on. " Each item will have a starting bid displayed. " Minimum raise is $5.00 " Highest bid is the winning bid. Winning bids are taxable for non resale buyers. Bidding Process: " To enter a bid, bidder raises his or her number, directing the signal to the Auctioneer. Bids should be made promptly. The auctioneer will not let bidders bid against themselves. " The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer will be the buyer of the item. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the Auctioneer will determine the successful bid. " At the fall of the Auctioneer's gavel, the buyer's becomes immediately obligated for payment. All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds on auction items are permitted. " If the buyer fails to comply with the bidding requirements, the lot may, at the Auctioneer's discretion, be put up and sold again. " All auction items must be paid for in full (check, cash, American Express, MasterCard, or VISA) on the evening of the auction. All checks are to be made payable to Chimere. The buyer agrees to pay Chimere a handling charge of $35.00 for any check not honored by the bank. Checkout is available any time after the end of the live auction. Post Auction Handling: " Winning item(s) must be picked up within 7 days or storage is available for a fee. " For winning item(s) unclaimed after 30 days, ownership and title reverts to Chimere. " Winning item(s) are sold as-is and are non refundable. " Service available on winning item(s): Basic cut and basic binding for a flat $25.00 per area rug " Discounted services are available on winning item(s) the night of the auction: Serging Tape and Optiback Have a Great Time at the Auction!
